[poll] What type of brewing do you do?

I like polls. You are going to see that a lot. I like to understand the memberships trends toward various subjects. I am basically curious to what type of brewers we have here. This allows me to search for information that is targeted toward the demographic membership. Also we get to know you better and know who to look toward for answers to various questions.

About me, I am an all grain brewer. I started out all grain. I have done 3 extract batches but prefer the versatility of all grain. It really isn't hard as many think and can actually be preformed fairly cheap with items you can buy locally. you don't need a $5000 brew system.

I have done 2 all grain brews, both times with a friend who was setup for it. Normally I brew with extract and partial mash. Part of me wants to do all-grain all the time, but I have found the time it takes to be a bit much for me at this point. On a fairly normal brew day I can get all my equipment out, clean and sanitize, brew, chill, clean and put everything away all in about 4 hours. Both all grain experiences were over 6.

I used corn and rice syrup in one batch. I was trying to clone Ballantine Ale and was told by the brewmaster of Mickey Finn's Brewpub in Chicago that to do it proper I should use some adjuncts. In the end, the batch was nothing like Ballantine, but was a very nice APA.
