|Ommegang Abbey Ale|
|Deep burgundy color with a big, fluffy head. Complex fruit aromas with a layered sweetness (honey, then caramel, then toffee) with a hint of licorice and chocolate. A big, rich, abbey-style ale that dries out nicely on the finish. ABV 8.5%.|

|Review||Ommegang Abbey Ale has an extremely thick, creamy, fluffy, beige head and a semi-opaque, bubbly, amber appearance, with lots of lacing left behind. There is a huge amount of sediment floating about the beer. Aroma is of fruit, citrus, spice, sugar, malt, and caramel. Taste is of spicy yeast, fruit, citrus, lemon, spice, bitterness, sugar, barley malt, bread, and alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium, and Ommegang Abbey Ale finishes sweet, lemony, boozy, and surprisingly easy drinking. Overall, this is a wonderful, outstanding beer. One of the best out there, and i rate it 4.5 stars (outstanding).
