|Shiner 102 Double Wheat|
|The latest in Spoetzl Brewery‘s line of anniversary beers, with a special recipe that sits between a bright wheat and a wheat wine, this smooth, filtered, double wheat pours a pale straw color with hints of sweetness. The aromatic Czech Saaz and Washington Golding hops along with the crisp character of malted wheat are sure to refresh your senses. ABV 6.2%

My first, just arrived in Louisiana.
From a 12 oz bottle, this one poured a deep golden color, lots of bubbles and a thick white head. Smell is faint bubblegum and banana. Mouthfeel is medium to light with good carbonation. Taste is light and fruity, with an overall sweetness that dominates the flavor. It finishes very sweet, slightly bitter and watery. I’m not detecting any hops. Overall, this was a refreshing brew, but I felt it really lacked in flavor and was a little bit too sweet for me. I’ll give it 2 ½ stars, Fine.
