|A Belgian Strong Ale brewed by Brouwerij Huyghe Melle, Belgium. Very dense in flavor, it is opposed in character to his blonde colleague. It reflects a more and more hard-bodied and who inevitably do not specifically collect the same as traditional fans. "It is both strong in taste, bitter bark and hops, as well as alcoholic flavor. His final assessment can only end tasting, with a rather long extension of its bitterness. Warm and velvety, it appeals generally true connoisseur, but do not deprive discovery with curious pioneers character beers. 9.0% ABV.|
Appearance: Dark brown, small head, and some lacing.
Smell: Caramel apple, raisin, roasted malts, and a very subtle hint of coffee.
Taste: Apples, caramel, raisin, hops, malts, and perhaps a very slight coffee.
Mouthfeel: Medium and slightly thick.
This would make a great dessert beer. It is mildly sweet and medium thick. The initial smell reminds me of caramel apples. Nocturnum is very complex and does a good job of hiding the higher alcohol content.
