|Chimay Bleue (Blue)|
|This is a Belgian Strong Ale at 9.0% ABV whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavor, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations.|
|Review||Appearance: Hazy brownish with a nice big light nougat coloured head. Not lasting long but some lacings is present. Some sediments.
Aroma / Smell: Very nice sweet fruit.
Taste: Also fruity sweetness. Not much bitterness, but the body combined with the hidden, but rather high alcohol level makes it taste astonishing harmonious. Severel fruits like maybe plums and raisins present. Also some spices though I can not quite figure what kind. Not very much citrus atall.
Mouthfeel: Lovely feeling from start to end. Full bodied rather sweet and warm beer. Yet very easy to consume. Lots of different flavours is what you discover while drinking this outstanding beer.
Overall: This beer is easyly the best strong ale I have ever tasted. Not the best beer overall, but surely the best "strong ale".(Iam a stout man)...hehe. A perfect winter beer in my opinion.
