So, this bad larry is 28 quarts(7 Gallon), and is electric. There's one of those Linens N Things GOB sales and Im thinking about picking it up, because you can steam and boil with it was well. Good for lobster in the summer. ANy thoughts?

Wow, I didn't see that when I was in Linen and Things here. I guess the entire chain is going out of business? Anyway, if I saw one of those here I would of jumped on it to at least give it a try. It is a bit small as I normally boil 7 gallons so I can get 6 gallons to the fermenter and have 5 gallons left to the keg after racking,

I have actually been looking at ways to convert my brewery to electric so I can brew inside. While most of you have the need because it gets so cold outside I want to brew inside in the summer because it is so dang hot here. What was they asking for it there?

It was 140...marked down to 99 or 69

I'll take a look again...I saw at least 16 on a bulkout in the aisle

That is very similar to what I started on. I think it is a very good way to start out. Boil overs do occur when boiling a full batch but with a spray bottle with water and an attentive eye they can be avoided.

Hope it works out for you and let us know. I looked at our local store and they didn't have any. I will have to look at the hardware store. They have every type of boil pot and burner one could think of.

C lick Here

Found it on their site. 10$ more online(go figure). Might be worth the order...before its 50%-60% off and its sold out?

Homebrew Bayou,
I enjoy reading your posts you have a lot of wisdom to share.
I am curious as to knowing why you want to start brewing indoors w/ the costs of electricity, cooling your home, switching from propane to electricity, What about brewing at night or an hour after sunset. I lived in Phoenix AZ for about 14 years and could BBQ/grill outdoors year round. Or under a large oak tree. The bugs I forgot about those maybe a yellow bug light??? It just seams redundant to run the AC and make something hot in the house you are trying to keep cool. I am probably poking my nose where it doesn't belong. Just tiring to figure out the prows and cons.
