Beer lovers across the country have filed $5 million class-action lawsuits accusing Anheuser-Busch of watering down its Budweiser, Michelob and other brands.
The suits were filed in Pennsylvania, California and other states on behalf of consumers allegedly cheated out of the beverage's stated alcohol content. Budweiser and Michelob each boast being 5 percent alcohol, while some "light" versions are said to be just over 4 percent.

While I don't purchase A-B products, it never ceases to amaze me the things that will generate a lawsuit in the USA.

In the far distant past (mid-1980's) I considered applying to law school. I changed my mind when I read that the US had as many lawyers as the rest of the nations of the world combined.

It seems that for many of our fellow Americans their great "hope" for wealth is to either 1) hit the lottery or 2) become a 'victim' so they can sue someone with deep pockets.

Yes, I think you're right about that, BC.

I agree BC. Also, does this come as a surprise to anyone? Anyone who drinks these beers must notice how watery they are, right? If people are drinking cases of BMC and still standing.... I think that should tell you something. Let these same people drink a few good craft beers and see how they make out.

But, I haven't noticed that Budweiser tastes any more watery than it ever has.

This is about as ridiculous as the "Subway footlongs aren't a footlong" case.

A good judge would have the lawyers that brought such a ridiculous case disbarred.
