About Our Staff Members

Andy - Founder and President of The Beer In Me. He is a native of Louisiana and has been a beer enthusiast since the mid 1980’s, before it became popular. Andy is constantly promoting excellent beer in Louisiana. He is also passionate about craft beer and exceptional beer from around the world. Some of his favorite styles of beer include Belgians, Brown Ales, Oktoberfest, Porters, Saisons, Stouts and Wheat's. He has reviewed over 500+ beers on our site and as of 2013.

Beer-Cub - Our United States Western Beer Forum Moderator. A North Carolina native, he now lives in Wyoming. He enjoys reading and researching all things beer including current beer news, brewing history, and beer sampling. His favorite styles are session beers – primarily English style pale and brown ales, but also pale lagers, cream ales, along with the occasional wheat beer and IPA.

Beer-Pedia - A resident of Greece and our Southern Europe Beer Forum Moderator. He is also our Beer News Specialist, constantly submitting beer news stories from around the world.

eManu - A former resident of Brussels, Belgium who now runs a Belgian bistro in Bangsar Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia called Brux-Ale. He is our Belgium / European Beer Consultant and is also a Field Reporter for our website.

Hayduke - Ron Kuhnel lives in Eureka, California. He is a dedicated beers geek and has rated almost 1,600 beers since 2004. He travels the world in search of new beers. His favorite beers are IPA, DIPA, Imperial Stouts, and Belgian ales. He is on the tasting panel for Lost Coast Brewery in Eureka, tasting beers for quality control. He is the Rating Moderator on The Beer in Me.

Jay Theriot - Jay resides in Laplace, Louisiana. His favorite beer is Schlitz. He is also our specialist on American-Style Lagers. He travels the U.S. to find these lagers which aren’t offered in his home state and reviews them on The Beer In Me. His current focus is on American-style lagers, which he enjoys. However, he has a love for beer in general, so, his present interest in this style is not to the detriment of appreciating other styles such as ale, porter, stout, etc. Jay is also one of our "Beer Newshounds", constantly posting news stories on our website. He has also reviewed over 500+ beers on The Beer In Me and has posted countless "Video Beer Reviews" on our forum.

Ken - Vice President of The Beer In Me and European Beer Consultant. He lived in Copenhagen, Denmark for 20 years and has now moved back to the town where he was born, which is some 10 km. from the Copenhagen town hall square. Ken closed his house painting firm in 2005, due to back injuries. Since the mid-seventies, he has traveled the following countries several times; Andorra, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Livigno, Luxemburg, Monaco, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, where he has been able to enjoy the local beers. He now works part time as an administrative coordinator for the municipality where he lives, creating and maintaining data bases. He also makes websites and helps people with their computer problems. Ken is mostly a Stout and Porter guy but loves all well crafted beers. His favorite beer style after a hard day's work is Lager/Pilsner. Due and thanks to this forum and since it started in 2008, he has tasted more than 300 different beers. Ken also spends a lot of his free time keeping our site free of spammers and hackers.

William - Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana (Lakeview), William now resides in Metairie, LA during the work week and occasionally Covington, LA when off work. He fell in love with beer after he tried his first trappist ale - the Rochefort 8 at Cooter Brown's in New Orleans. He now collects the bottles of beer he likes and displays them in an organized fashion. He is still searching for the greatest beer -but he does like all styles. William also includes beer in his travels. He has been to Europe, Central America, South America, and about half of the USA. He also dabbles in photography and is a FFL03 holder."
